2nd May - BEDLAMB - 7.30pm
This month's awesome line up features:
Lewis Mckale Music
Lewis Mckale has been writing and recording his own music for the past 7 years, his debut EP, My Father's Son was released in 2011, the follow up, The Bigger Picture EP was released in 2013. Lewis released a covers EP, Something Borrowed, which received radio play on Juice FM Brighton on Chris T-T's Midnight Campfire and was invited to open for him as part of his UK tour.
Described as having a sound like Jeff Buckley meets Feist, Laura Marling meets Nai Palm, we're looking forward to inviting Izzie down to The Lamb for the first time!
Tom Hyatt is not only a unique and stand-out artist on the London live circuit but also already a known face at The Lamb. His explosive voice delivers dynamic and forthright songs, backed by propulsive guitar or contemplative piano. Tom is currently working on some new material we will be hoping to hear!
6th May - CROOKED WEATHER
Sunday Sessions - 8pm
Crooked Weather are returning to The Lamb! They are a rock infused folk band, based out of whatever rusty vehicle they can beg, steal or borrow and fueled by the new people and places they meet whilst being on the road.
They hail from the depths of East Yorkshire, England, but over the last 3 years have toured the lengths and breadths of Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, U.S., England and Holland. Their original songs, steeped somewhere in the folk revival of the late 60's, have a raw, modern edge, with the lilting harmonies of Holly & Will at the core.
Building up a reputation for their live shows, they've supported the likes of Jeffrey Lewis, Micheal Chapman, Mike Heron (Incredible String Band), Jim Jones, Dick Gaughan, Roddy Woomble & Bridget St. John along their way.
"They are indie meets World music meets traditional British folk. Think a contemporary Incredible String Band with a 21st century mindset or the acoustic side of Led Zeppelin.” - Sid Griffin (Bob Dylan Biographer // BBC 6 Music)

20th May - SUPER CUMBIA Y LA LIGA DE LA ALEGRIA
Sunday Sessions FOOD FESTIVAL SPECIAL 7.30pm
Join The Lamb for one final party as we bid the Festival farewell. A tropical night of Latin American Music and Food.
It's a superhero party here at The Lamb featuring Argentinian groupSuper Cumbia y la Liga de la Alegría!
Super Cumbia was born on planet “Cum-bión”, in a tropical universe of South American imagination. In the city of Rosario, Argentina, he learned to walk, talk, play and sing with his guitar, and undertook an anthropological & musical survey of Argentina, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia & Uruguay, leading him to start to writing and composing Cumbia in a different way. He also founded ‘La Liga de la Alegria’ – his league of fellow superheroes that perform with him today.
Thus, they created ‘’Cumbia Del Monte”, a hybrid rhythm that has traces of reggae, hip hop, ragamuffin, murga, candombey, ska & punk, and boasts a healthy dose of Latino vitamins coursing through its veins. Cumbia Del Monte acts as a bridge, connecting South America and Europe with a tsunami of good vibes! The band’s infamous shows fuse contemporary sounds of the new generation with musical folklore, and of course… they wear super hero costumes.
