Sunday Sessions With Gabriel Moreno and The Quivering Poets, 8pm

Heavily influenced by poetical lyricism of Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen and Bill Callahan, the band’s Mediterranean rhythms fused with folk arpeggios have provided the basis for their increasing popularity on London’s Alternative Folk scene. Their latest album Farewell Belief typifies Gabriel’s character-driven storytelling, set against crafted violin motifs and flowing Spanish guitar. Moreno is a poet and songwriter whose guitar playing style is rooted in his native Gibraltar whilst his songs have their foundations in British and American, modern musical structures.
Moreno and The Quivering Poets have completed a 10 day tour of Germany in 2017 and 2018 and played The Fire in the Mountain festival in Wales in 2017. The band regularly plays in the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain.

“These are poets and musicians of the highest order...” - Americana UK
“...and when the band is in full flight it is really rather wonderful.” -
“On his latest album, Farewell Belief, Gabriel Moreno's gentle, poetic lyrics are enhanced by the accompanying instruments. The fiddle in particular soars above and around the words superbly. I can hear touches of Leonard Cohen in several of the tracks on the album.” - Jane Clayton, West Norfolk Radio
“Perceptive, passionate, prolific & Poignant. ...solid and authentic sound that warms the heart and the soul.” - John Flannery, Art Speak, Soho Radio

Sunday Sessions with John Elliott

Singer songwriter and pianist, with a sound that is all his own but echoes the intensity and melancholic overtones of greats such as Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen.

'Entrancing… songwriting of a real rich quality, all held together by an intensity of approach, by a focus on the emotional weight music can carry’ – Clash

‘Extraordinary music. This is an amazing act’ - Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2

An Evening With Dai and The Ramblers

"This is a heavyweight songwriter at work. There's a great weight to this collection, matched to an easy grace and lightness of touch. It's a masterful combination that makes for a set of songs that feel instantly familiar, like classics that have been around forever. Quite simply, Dai & The Rambers just ooze class; brilliant musicians, brilliant songs, brilliantly played" Rory Carlile (New Roots)

And here's what people said about Dai & The Ramblers' first album, Duw Duw:

"This London quartet's Zydeco-influenced debut swings mightily. Like James Hunter before him, frontman Dai Price is a man to watch." Phil Alexander (Mojo)

"An organic, swinging masterpiece... inordinately tight" Keith Ames (The Musician)

"I love his voice; I love the whole band." Paul Heaton (The Beatiful South)

"Just about as good as it gets. One of the best bands I've ever seen, and over 50+ years, I've seen them all" Ted Carroll (Ace Records)

"Absolutely gorgeous... They make a beautiful sound." Janice Long (BBC Radio 2)

"Rocking... entertaining... spirited" John Clarke (The Independent)

Sunday Sessions With Robin Elliott

Robin Elliott is a songwriter and singer hailing from the North West of England with a dry sense of humour, a voice like brushed smoke and a creative, astute approach to guitar playing and songwriting. His experimentations never detract from the melodiousness of the songs, or the emotional power of his performances. Robin has written material performed by Ben Walker, Samantha Whates and Sophie Jamieson, amongst others, and his music and songs have featured on the soundtrack of the feature film "A Very British Gangster" and on Channel 4's Cutting Edge documentary strand. He has released three EPS: 2013's "Weapons Antique & Modern", 2015's "Green Ginger Wine" and last year's "At Sunset". When not writing, recording or performing Robin works with children with autism in London. His debut album "Parallel Lives", recorded and produced by Ben Walker, is set for release in 2018.
