Last Remaining Passengers
After moving to Spain from UK in 2005 Carlos started writing songs for himself. Odds and sods and little ideas that turned into Last Remaining Passengers. Songs of alcohol and substance abuse, fallen friendships, new relationships, lost love, tears and good times. Stuff we've all lived, will never forget and should cherish now we've reached middle age...
With songs of cruel beauty in the wild spaces of love, JP Sampson lays it all on the line with his latest offering. Mining the spirit of Gram Parsons, Lucinda Williams, Drive by Truckers, Gillian Welch and Townes Van Zandt, JP explores workaday heartbreak tangled in haunting melodies of broken dreams and the lives we passed by. Gently understated, plaintive yet defiant, songs that keep us walking towards the horizon.
Yer man from The Lagan will be joining us with a rare solo set. Featuring a pick of his favourite songs.
You might recognise this one from behind the bar! An energetic performer who loves to get the crowd involved. Performing in a three-piece, Lucas will be playing his own original material that sounds like Foo Fighters but with Ed Sheeran lyrics. You will be asked to clap, you will be asked to sing!

Sunday Sessions with DARIA KULESH AND MARINA OSMAN
Daria's collaboration with the extraordinary pianist Marina Osman (originally from Belarus) started with a set of nostalgic Russian songs, mostly from classic Soviet-era films, combined with Russian folk favourites (commissioned by Pushkin House). Since then, the dynamic duo's successful partnership has extended to Daria's solo material, offering a fantastic variety for every listener regardless of their language and cultural background. Expect plenty of authentic Russian flavour, superb musicianship and heaps of heartfelt, infectious energy.
"Great battles of love and life all sung from the deep heart's core" (Mike Harding)
"Daria Kulesh and Marina Osman took it to another level. One of the best sets I have ever seen" (Andy Tuck, Forty Tenth Promotions)
“The very best of the best included an amazing set from The Firebirds (Daria Kulesh and Marina Osman), whose Russian tunes turned us all into Cossacks and the call for an encore was so insistent it couldn't be ignored" (Tony Birch, FATEA Magazine)
“A wonderful concert by two hugely talented and lovely people” (Andrew Bracey, audience member)
«Филигранное, и в то же время невероятно душевное исполнение» (Дмитрий Белицкий, слушатель)

Sunday Sessions with THE DOG ROSES
The Dog Roses are South London's most original country rockin' bluegrass sextet playing stunning; roots, Americana and country rock'n'roll. A six piece band based around drums, bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, accordion, scorching fiddle and mandolin, they do for country and bluegrass what the Pogues did for Irish music - inject it with a huge dose of energetic rock'n'roll. Great songs and fantastic players guarantee a seriously good time. What they say about us. "Highly Proficient. Deliver lyrical doses of worldly wisdom, spinning a sweetly sincere line or being witty and wry: taking idioms and giving them twists, showing indeed things learned from Hank (Williams)" - Traditional Music Maker "The Dogs light up the stage, get your toes tapping and your feet stomping" - online TV “An eclectic mix of up tempo folk, alt-country and jazzy blues” - Time Out

An Evening With LUCAS & KING
Bo Lucas is an astonishing singer who draws you in with her beautiful, hypnotic and, in my opinion, unique voice. I was blown away by Bo's voice and by the strength of all of the songs. There was nothing ordinary about what she and her partner Hayleigh King do with music.
I don't really know how to explain it but then you can't talk about music. You have to hear it. Take every opportunity to go and see these two fine and seriously exciting musicians.
Hayleigh is a guitarist who will make your eyebrows go straight through your hair line; when I was young, music that blew me away would find me laughing with the sheer joy of what was happening. Bo and Hayleigh did that last night and it's a long, long time since that's happened and it felt brilliant.

Sunday Sessions with LEONIE EVANS
Leonie Evans was born & raised on the edge of South East London & Kent.
She's a multi instrumentalist, singer songwriter and occasional session vocalist, teacher & event organiser who has been performing since the age of 5 & has never stopped.
Rather than embarking on a conventionally "successful" album/tour/album/tour/... career as someone with such a rare voice, writing talent and stage presence so effortlessly could, Leonie Evans has chosen to do something much more interesting and fun.
Sunday December 29th, 8pm
Sunday Sessions with JOPLIN PARNELL
Joplin Parnell is a prominent pianist and vocalist on London’s Jazz and Blues scene. He has lived a life immersed in music having started out at an early age following his piano playing father around New Orleans parades, jam sessions and bars, snare drum in hand whilst days at home were spent receiving a musical education in the back of his mothers audio engineering studio watching her cut records and listening with keen ears. His sets weave a rich tapestry of New Orleans Rhythm & Blues and Brazilian Choro, New York Stride and French Musette with a Tango or two thrown in for good measure drawing influence from the full breadth of his musical heritage and imparting a deep soulful sensibility onto everything he does.
